Tania Warokka is a Senior MEL and Research Analyst for UPGI’s operations in Indonesia. She provides responsive M&E technical assistance, designs and develops MEL plans for government graduation programs, and offers capacity-building support to government counterparts, thereby strengthening their monitoring, evaluation, and oversight capabilities.
With over 19 years of extensive experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), Tania has held key roles in Cardno Emerging Markets (DT Global), Catholic Relief Services, Oxfam GB, Irish Red Cross, Save the Children US, among others. Her expertise spans various sectors such as poverty and social protection, education, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, health, and food security nutrition.
Earlier in her career, Tania spent six years as a Lecturer at North Sumatra University and other universities in Medan, where she taught courses on Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, Development Theory, Society and Culture, Indonesian Governance Analysis, Research Design, and Introduction to Politics and Economics.
Tania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of North Sumatra.
