Policy

Nyambura is a Policy Officer for BRAC Ultra-Poor Graduation Initiative. She supports UPGI to drive policy change through development of various advocacy resources and materials for our engagement with governments in Africa and Asia.

Prior to joining BRAC, Nyambura worked at PATH as the Regional Policy and Advocacy Officer tasked with advancing health systems through coordination of global and regional policy advocacy portfolio in the areas of learning, capacity strengthening, and documentation in Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, DRC and US. She has also worked in different policy advocacy capacities providing technical support to policy makers and civil societies, developing toolkits for policy advocacy, establishing, and managing coalitions for policy change, policy implementation, domestic resource mobilization and accountability; all geared towards an enabling policy environment for community empowerment and development.

Nyambura holds a Master’s in Community Development and Rural Sociology and a Bachelor’s in Arts and Social Sciences from University of Nairobi and Egerton University, respectively.
