Bernard Bayasese

Bernard Bayasese is a community development practitioner with 17 years’ experience working with international organizations translating regional and global targets into national context strategies.

Bernard is embedded in the Rwanda Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC) to support the Graduation Secretariat implementing the National Strategy for Sustainable Graduation.

Before joining BRAC International, Bernard with Catholic Relief Services (CRS Rwanda) and with Faith Victory Association (FVA Rwanda). Bernard also worked for World Vision Rwanda focusing on livelihoods, food security, health, and education. Bernard has extensive experience in government relations, donor relations, and managing different stakeholder relationships.

Bernard has a Master’s in Project Planning and Management from Kabale University Uganda and a Bachelor’s in Economic Sciences and Management from Kigali Independent University (ULK).

Outside of work, he enjoys playing football, swimming, and storytelling with friends and colleagues.
