Francis is responsible for the grant management including liaising with donors and partners, grant monitoring, reviewing proposals and contracts to ensure BRAC grant and sub-grant management procedures, policies, and donor requirements are met. He will support and contribute to UPGI’s efforts to ensure high quality donor reports and maintain data quality.
Prior to joining UPGI team, he worked with the Kenya Red Cross Society Global Fund program. In his previous roles, Francis has been involved in grants and contract management, coordination of financial aspects of the global fund program, conducting grant portfolio performance monitoring, and enhancing improvement in financial growth and risk management.
He is a Grants and Finance professional with nine years of work experience, knowledge, skills and interest gained across varied roles in non-governmental organizations.
He has an interest in continuing to utilize finance expertise in realizing the financial trends, putting in place internal controls in management of accounting functions to help develop innovative and sustainable solutions through tools, approaches and models for emerging and ongoing challenges in financial health, data use, policy and socio-economic development.
