This side event took place on September 25, 2024, during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
BRAC co-hosted this side event with World Vision, Hungry for Action, The World Food Programme, SDG 2 Action Hub, Ação da Cidadania, and the Government of Brazil as the Chair of the G20.
The Global Lead for Policy and Partnerships, Heidi McAnnally-Linz, participated in a roundtable along with Ambassador Brieuc Pont, Special Envoy for Nutrition for Growth – France; Carmen Burbano, Director of School-Based Programmes and Head of School Meals Coalition – World Food Programme; Sir David Nabarro, Strategic Director – 4SD Foundation; and Annie Duflo, Executive Director – Innovations for Poverty Action.
The roundtable discussed programs and policies to move ahead with and get to scale with to address SDGs 1 and 2.
